Katrina Sapp graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After graduation, she became an apprentice at one of the foremost piano rebuilding shops in the Washington, D.C. area. There she developed skills in the many aspects of rebuilding pianos and preparing pianos for sale. A member of the Piano Technicians Guild, she continues learning about her craft by attending national and regional conventions, manufacturers seminars, and local Guild meetings. She has received Steinway factory training. She has worked as the full-time piano technician at George Mason University School of Music caring for over seventy Steinway & Sons pianos. She provides tuning and maintenance services for several venues such as the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, DAR Constitution Hall and Arena Stage. She also tunes and cares for pianos in many churches and private homes.
